Wilderness Lodges

Our Wilderness Lodges promise a comfortable room, delicious meals and personalized service in an exceptional natural setting. To qualify for the designation, these establishments must:

Be a member of the Québec Outfitters Federation
Have an inn or a guest lodge with a minimum of 3 rooms
Be rated 3 stars or above
Offer a restaurant service (American Plan)

Indigenous outfitters

Indigenous Tourism Québec and Québec Outfitters Fédération are proud to highlight over twenty indigenous-owned outfitters, recognizing them with the "Indigenous outfitters" distinction. Some outfitters also offer activities to interpret native culture, such as tasting bannock around the campfire or preparing freshly caught fish using traditional methods. Either way, nature and authenticity will be at the very heart of your experience.

Family outfitters

Our “family vacation” outfitters offer adapted facilities and activities that are sure to please one and all. You’ll find everything you need to organize a fun-filled trip! Each establishment offers at least four of the following:

Swings
Children’s play structure
Volleyball or badminton court
Water sports
Entertainment
Fire pit
Picnic area
Indoor games (ping-pong, pool, beanbag toss, darts, board games)
Beach

Snowmobilers stopping at a snowmobile relay

Snowmobile rest stop

Outfitters are ideal for snowmobilers seeking a short stop or an overnight stay. Some offer specialized services, which earns them the title of relais motoneige (snowmobile rest stop). On site, you’ll find:

Refuelling station
Access to provincial and/or local trails with directions to the outfitter
Restaurant service

ATV rest stops

Outfitters are the perfect place to take a break and fill your belly (and your gas tank!) or enjoy a short stay before hitting the trails again. Those that are labelled relais quad (ATV rest stop) offer the following services:

Refuelling
Access to the provincial and/or local trail network with directions to the outfitter
Restaurant service

Québec Outfitters Gift certificates

Give a loved one an original gift: a Québec Outfitters gift certificate. The fact that they can be used in all participating outfitters affords a great deal of flexibility in choosing a destination. They also have no expiry date, so they can be used whenever you want. The minimum value is $50 and you can obtain them through the online store or by contacting us.

Fund for the Protection of Outfitters’ Natural Environments

Outfitters participating in the Fund for the Protection of Outfitters’ Natural Environments are actively involved in collecting donations, which will be used to ensure the sustainable management of their territories and protect the wildlife resources that are closely linked to them. You’ll be invited to make a quick, easy and optional donation when you book a stay at one of our outfitters.

These outfitters have earned Les Pages Vertes certified (french only), an internationally recognized Quebec distinction. Thanks to a rigorous audit and personalized support, they have implemented a sustainable development action plan adapted to their reality. Three levels of certification underline their commitment: Activation, Distinction or Eco-responsible Excellence.
