Family on a pontoon boat at Pourvoirie Au Pays de Réal Massé

In the heart of the forests of Lanaudière lies an enchanting destination that has captivated hunting and fishing enthusiasts for more than 40 years: Pourvoirie Au Pays de Réal Massé.

From the moment he opened his outfitting operation in 1986, Réal Massé had a clear goal in mind: to make this destination a must in the industry. Although he is no longer with us today, his mission has truly been accomplished.

Over the years, this passionate hunter and angler successfully passed on his values, vision, work ethic, and passion to his daughter Nancy and her family (Gilles, Stéphanie, and Karina), as well as to the rest of the team.

And now, four decades later, guests continue to visit in large numbers year after year, proving that Pourvoirie Au Pays de Réal Massé remains one of the most sought-after hunting and fishing destinations in Quebec.

A Distinctive Hassle-Free Experience

If guests continue answering the call after all these years, it’s because they come to enjoy a truly distinctive experience, comparable to that of the Far North.

An all-inclusive package, comfortable accommodations (whether at the lodge or in a cottage), high-quality cuisine, activities for the whole family, and outstanding trout fishing—everything is in place to ensure visitors enjoy a memorable stay. Say goodbye to the hassles of everyday life: at Pourvoirie Au Pays de Réal Massé, every detail is designed with comfort and enjoyment in mind.

What’s New for 2026

Even after 40 years in operation, the outfitter continues to reinvent itself. Among the new additions for 2026, paddleboards will now be available for guests. On the hunting side, an extra week has been added to the pheasant hunting season, one of the outfitter’s specialties. And good news for big game enthusiasts: the popular moose hunting package is back.

These new features add to the many facilities already available on site. Mini golf, pedal boats, kayaks, inflatable water games, horseshoe pits, and pétanque courts—it’s all there. For getting around on land and water, pontoon boats and golf carts are also available. A true playground for visitors of all ages!

Summer and Winter Adventures

And if you thought the outfitter was only accessible in summer, think again. It also operates during the winter season. The enchanting setting of this Quebec paradise transforms throughout the winter months, offering visitors a whole new way to experience it. Guests can venture out by snowmobile, admire the scenery on snowshoes or skates, or explore the territory on cross-country skis.

For winter nature enthusiasts, accommodation and gourmet packages are available, along with equipment rentals.

A Territory with Nearly 100 Years of History

If the trees could talk, they would certainly have many stories to tell! Before becoming the outfitter we know today, the territory of Pourvoirie Au Pays de Réal Massé operated under a different name: the Club de Chasse et de Pêche Léonard Bellerose. It was in 1928, nearly a century ago, that the first guests visited this thriving territory for the very first time. Several decades later, in 1986, Réal Massé acquired the property. On May 2, 2026, Réal Massé’s birthday, the outfitter celebrated its 40th anniversary, while also hosting the wedding of the founder’s granddaughter on the outfitter’s grounds.
