Last spring, the Au Québ family got together for an outfitter getaway in the enchanting Côte-Nord region. We loved our time there! Successful fishing, relaxing moments and rowboat discussions were the order of the day at Club Lac des Sables et Paradis de Grandes-Bergeronnes outfitter.

The Côte-Nord, a region of choice
Nestled in the great outdoors, Côte-Nord outfitters offer the perfect setting for great fishing stories. In all, there are 36 outfitters in the region, ranging from comfortable family establishments close to Route 138 to rustic accommodations deep in the forest.
The Club Lacs des Sables et Paradis selection proved ideal for our stay. With 52 lakes and over twenty cottages spread over 100 square kilometers, we were clearly not disappointed by this secluded little retreat... but just minutes from Tadoussac!
Outfitter hospitality
From the moment we arrived, the attentive team at Club Lac des Sables et Paradis outfitters gave us a warm, well-organized welcome. The entire trip was meticulously planned, with lakes and guides already allocated for each day. Absolutely nothing to complain about in terms of logistics!
As for the food, we opted for the American plan package, which covered all our meals. What a great decision! We ate really well on site throughout the weekend, with three-course menus every evening. We enjoyed well-prepared filet mignon, seafood pasta and decadent brunches. The boxed lunch formula for dinner meant we could enjoy lunch on the water rather than in the restaurant.
The human touch
All the staff at Club Lac des Sables et Paradis were generous with advice on lures to use, right down to the size of hooks to use on certain lakes. We felt accompanied! The guides, true enthusiasts and connoisseurs, took us to isolated lakes every day, enthusiastically sharing their knowledge of the territory.
The reputation for quality fishing at this outfitter was quite high, and was clearly confirmed for us. The abundance of speckled trout in every body of water we explored lived met our expectations!
A diversified offering
Whether you want to be right in the middle of the action, or feel isolated and alone on a lake, Club Lac des Sables et Paradis has it all. There are cottages close to reception (and to the restaurant for the American plan) and others that are remote and accessible only by boat. We're then transported with our luggage and given a radio to communicate with the staff.
And let's face it... outfitters offer a wide range of accommodation options throughout Quebec. These lakeside cottages aren't just great for fishing or hunting, they're great for vacationing too!
