The Wilderness Lodge classification was created thanks to the advocacy of outfitters who also operated wilderness lodges. The 0- to 5-star rating system was developed by the Quebec Outfitters Federation (QOF), the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune (MRNF), and Tourisme Québec (TQ). Quality standards are consistent with international standards for wilderness lodges, as well as bed and breakfasts, hotels and tourist residences. This classification establishes a quality and comfort index designed to help you choose the wilderness lodge that suits your needs.
