Hunting - Wolf in Quebec's Outfitters

Identification

Total length :  159 to 165 cm (63 to 65 in)

Shoulder height :  66 to 97 cm (26 to 38 in)

Weight :   18 to 42 kg (40 to 93 lb), male larger than female

Coloration :  White to black  fur, usually ash gray; tip of tail black.

External characteristics :   Long, blunt muzzle measuring 25 mm (1 in) or more at the tip; rounded ears; long limbs and robust feet (26 to 29 cm/10 to 11 in long); posterior paw pad diameter more than 32 mm (1 in) ; long, bushy tail (39 to 48 cm/15 to 19 in).
