Coloration :  Yellowish-gray fur with dark dorsal stripe; tawny muzzle, back of ears and front paws; dark, vertical line on front paws; white throat and belly; tail with black tip.

External characteristics :   Long, slender muzzle measuring less than 25 mm (1 in) at tip; large, pointed ears; long, slender legs and short feet (17 to 22 cm/7 to 9 in), paw pad diameter of hind paws usually less than 32 mm/1.5 in); bushy tail (28 to 40 cm/11 to 16 in).
